Just a quick update. Luke is having surgery tomorrow. Nothing too major... just a routine bronchoscopy (which is long overdue) and possible tubes in the ears. It always makes me nervous when Luke goes under, no matter what kind of surgery and it also makes me nervous waiting to hear the ENT doctor's assessment of Luke's airway. Choanal atresia, stenosis, laryngomalacia, swollen epiglottis, reflux, copious secretions... all such yucky but very familiar words. Hopefully we'll also get a chance to talk to the doctor about Luke's recent improvement in his nightly oxygen needs as well his new habit of pulling his trach out and get his thoughts on the next step toward getting Luke's trach out for good. Please keep Luke in your prayers for a complication-free surgery and a positive outcome. Thank you.
Will update after Luke's surgery as soon as possible as well as some other catching up. Been busy lately with "Kidney for Patrick" awareness and planning and haven't had much time for Luke's blog. Gotta get that boy a kidney!

I hope Luke's surgery went well and that you got some good news on his airway.
